PreschoolFirst helps build program quality by providing formative assessment information that is readily usable by all those involved in each child’s life. As part of that commitment, PreschoolFirst includes features to meet the specific needs of early childhood education professionals in four settings.
PreschoolFirst’s Complimentary Class version gives individual teachers access to developmentally appropriate learning experiences for a single class. Each activity addresses one or more developmental behaviors appropriate for children in that class. There is no charge for these accounts.
Early Childhood Centers
When used by teachers in early childhood centers, PreschoolFirst uses ongoing assessment information to offer play-based learning experiences - for children from birth through 66 months - appropriate to both class and individual child needs. PreschoolFirst’s reports show each child’s progress, and parent involvement features help involve parents in their child’s development.
PreschoolFirst aligns its activities to each center’s state PreK early learning standards, and offers advanced reporting capabilities. PreschoolFirst accounts with more than one location include seamless management functions across locations, as well as aggregated reporting capabilities.
Early Head Start and Head Start Programs
PreschoolFirst features tailored for Early Head Start and Head Start programs include advanced reporting to help document progress at the individual child, class, center, and agency level. For Head Start programs, PreschoolFirst provides integrated correlation with the new Head Start Outcomes Framework (2015).
K12 Pre-K programs
In district-based Pre-K or early intervention programs, PreschoolFirst’s assessment provides benchmarks for documenting both student growth and developmental delays. PreschoolFirst can be used with your own curriculum or with PreschoolFirst’s integrated, play-based activities.
